As a Data Engineer, you won’t just be managing data; you’ll be crafting the backbone of our data landscape, while connecting all the dots from revenue to educational insights. Ready to embark on this journey? Let’s dive into your key roles: 

What You'll Do 🎯 

ETL Development: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL processes that gather, transform, and load data from multiple sources. 
  • Preparing schema design and creating visualization ready datasets. 
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and accuracy across all ETL pipelines with best practices in performance optimization, error handling, and data validation. 

Infrastructure-as-Code: 

  • Leverage Terraform to manage infrastructure through code, ensuring seamless integration with our CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Develop automated testing and deployment frameworks for data pipelines to ensure reliability and streamline operations. 

Apache Spark & Databricks Management: 

  • Implement scalable workflows using Apache Spark for data processing on Databricks. 
  • Manage, optimize, and fine-tune Databricks clusters to balance peak performance and cost-efficiency. 

Cloud Architecture & Data Warehousing: 

  • Design and build resilient cloud data architectures with a deep knowledge of Google Cloud and Azure. 
  • Develop data models and schemas while maintaining and enhancing data warehousing technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery. 

Security & Compliance: 

  • Implement security best practices to ensure all data processes meet industry standards and regulations. 

Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Team 🔧 

  • ETL Expertise: Proficiency in designing, managing, and optimizing ETL processes with a focus on performance, data integrity, and error handling. 
  • Automation Advocate: Skilled in developing automated testing and deployment frameworks for data pipelines.
  • Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and SQL for data processing, and deep proficiency in managing Databricks clusters. 
  • Cloud Guru: Extensive experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud and Azure, including building and managing cloud-based data solutions. 
  • Data Warehousing Proficiency: Familiarity with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, and other data warehousing solutions. 
  • Code Master: Strong command over SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis. 
  • Agile Experience: Proven experience working in Agile environments, ensuring flexibility and collaboration throughout the development process.
