Are you an experienced data engineer obsessed with solving complex data challenges and help us to continue to build and maintain our data infrastructure? Are you passionate about working with the latest data tools in the market, address scalability challenges, and help to democratize data that will empower everyone to take data informed decisions? Join Dashlane as a Data Engineer and take part in a mission to enrich decision making with the power of data.
Dashlane is looking for a talented Data Engineer to optimize our data to enable our company to scale in the coming years. Inside our Data Engineering team, you will be designing pipelines and warehouses to model data from multiple sources that will allow analysts to derive business and product insights. Using AWS data tools and open-source technologies, such as Airflow, Airbyte and dbt, you will design and build our next-generation ETL pipelines and data products.

About the role

As a Data Engineer you will be a key member of an international team committed to build and maintain our data pipeline, making sure that everyone at Dashlane has access to the datasets they need to make data informed decisions. You will work alongside a broad mix of stakeholders, mainly Analytics Engineers, but also from other teams at Dashlane, like Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers and Engineers. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring data integrity and quality, optimizing our data pipeline, helping to make decisions about our architecture. If you are passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights, and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Location:

You will be based in Lisbon, with English as your working language. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with Tuesday being the company day, where we all collaborate in the office and have a company-sponsored meal, a department day for team bonding, and a third day of your choice. We offer relocation support (national and international).

At Dashlane you will:

  • Contribute to our real-time clickstream stack, using AWS Lambda and Kinesis.
  • Expand our third-party acquisition capabilities through Airbyte, Hightouch or custom Airflow Dags.
  • Provide a DBT runtime for analysts and accompany them in building resilient transformations, keeping data governance in mind for our existing ~700 models on our daily run.
  • Contribute to our Airflow for orchestration environments.
  • Create or use data quality tools to ensure our stakeholders have an accurate picture of what is happening on the product and with our business.
  • Handle the challenges that come with managing terabytes of data.
  • Eventually, build the next data-powered apps to keep the business secure and the insights accurate.
  • Build a scalable infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.

Requirements:

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, or in a data-oriented software engineering role.
  • You have 3+ years of experience with a scripting language (preferably Python).
  • You have 2+ years experience designing and provisioning data systems from pipelines to databases.
  • You have 2+ years experience designing databases and/or datalake tables.
  • You are fluent in English.

We're Also Looking For:

  • You have a passion for sharing and communicating data insights to a broad audience with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • You have experience administrating, ingesting, and monitoring data in data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift.
  • You are passionate about security and value users’ privacy.
  • You are eager to learn and be challenged continuously.
  • You are a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced, distributed environment, as you will be collaborating with our New York and Paris teams.
