About the role

Arkose Labs is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Customer Success organization. You will be part of the Customer Experience and Operations team and will work side by side with Customer Success leaders, product managers, and business analysts to continuously tune our business intelligence platform and applications with the goal of achieving maximum efficiency for our customer facing teams and improving customer experience.  

You are passionate about data and understand the importance of building the right datasets that can transform highly complex data sets into digestible and actionable information for customers. You love solving technical problems and can also communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

You will work closely with the Customer Experience and Operations team to:

  • Build and maintain data ETL pipelines for the Customer Experience (CX) team to fulfill business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications. 
  • Collaborate with other technical teams on implementations where there are dependencies external to CX.  
  • Propose and implement data management strategies and testing architectures. 
  • Perform exhaustive data quality assurance and propose QA automation solutions.
  • Analyze raw data. 
  • Experiment with new dashboarding software and technologies to provide fast and automated data visualizations that can power customer reports and internal analytics. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Must have:

  • College degree in Systems Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data engineering role. 
  • Proven experience with:
    • SQL, preferably around analyzing Big Data datasets
    • AWS environment, certifications are a plus
    • Python, JavaScript 
    • API integrations with third party tools (i.e. customer support, messaging applications, CRM platform)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, self-driven and a passion for excellence.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with complex data visualizations or related certifications. 
  • Experience with Airflow.
  • Great presentation skills: ability to articulate highly technical information in a concise manner.
