A Data Consultant is expected to be a seasoned professional capable of independently driving data-driven solutions from conception to implementation. They should possess a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects of a project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Ownership: Independently lead data projects from inception (mostly handovered by pre-sale team) to completion, including problem definition, data acquisition, exploration, modeling, deployment, and evaluation.
- Business Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of business objectives and the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
- Project Execution: Develop and execute project plans, monitor progress, and resolve technical challenges.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Also including presenting/training the concept/solution to all level of users/audiences if any
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, product managers, and business analysts.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
- Experience in AI Consultant industry would consider as an advantage
- Strong proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL).
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is preferred.
