Data Center Operator

Data Center Operator:  Base-level role; work is primarily task-based, routine maintenance activity with some specialized skill set supporting Operations or data center management.

**3rd Shift – 11:00pm-7:00am Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday**

This position is required to be on-site in our Springfield, Illinois office.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, manages and maintains mainframe computer systems and schedule
• Performs troubleshooting and resolution of moderate mainframe cycle issues
• Analyzes and performs problem analysis of mainframe issues before engaging additional support to better assist with resolution
• Provides reporting on operational processes for interdisciplinary use which may also be used for management reporting
• Knowledge of general mainframe cycle processing to be able to support all shifts, if necessary, in the event of an emergency
• Expertise in specialized shift processing for assigned shift
• Knowledge of various mainframe applications
• Ability to document in detail the issue being reported, steps taken to resolve, or attempt to resolve, and to escalate to the appropriate support team in a timely manner
• Provides operational support on assigned shift
• Proactively provides statuses, raise issues, and communicates necessary information on a regular basis
• Responsible for meeting critical performance measures for the team including service level agreements and quality standards
• Accomplishes department and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Requirements

• Associates degree in applicable field or 1-3 years applicable work experience in a related field.

Pay Range:

$18.51 - $29.13 /hour

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
