You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
- Desirable Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Data Architect or similar role, designing and implementing data solutions
- 3+ years of experience working in Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience working with Azure, AWS, Snowflake, and others for data store, data processing and data consumption.
- 5+ years of experience working with ETL/ELT maintenance processes and performance analysis.
- Advanced understanding of big data, data warehouse, and data lake concepts.
- Extensive expertise in database management, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, etc., for developing ETL/ELT processes.
- In-depth knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
- Strong skills in data modeling, normalization, and denormalization techniques.
- Experience with data migration from on-premise to cloud and cloud-to-cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Develop and design data architecture solutions that support the organization's objectives and requirements.
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Work closely with technical and business teams to understand their needs and translate them into data solutions.
- Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Design and implement data integration processes to enable seamless data flow across systems and platforms.
- Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing performance to meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Document data architecture designs, standards, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain consistency.
- Implement data security measures and protocols to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Supervise and propose ETL/ELT development practices to be followed by the development team.
- Monitor data systems and infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Identify areas for improvement in data architecture and processes, and lead initiatives to implement enhancements and optimizations
- Aid project managers and SDLs understand technical resources.
- Participate in client's presentations assisting the project management.
- Be the point of contact between the team and Data Practice Lead to communicate and follow up on the necessities of the team related to tools and training.
