We are seeking a skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in transforming raw data into structured, high-quality datasets that drive business insights and value. Your primary focus will be on leveraging SQL and other tools to provide clean data sets to end users, modeling data in a way that empowers end users to answer their own questions. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex datasets that enable actionable insights for different business units. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write, test, and optimize complex SQL queries to handle large datasets and ensure high performance and accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by developing and executing rigorous testing processes. Identify and address data quality issues proactively.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, transformations, and datasets to facilitate understanding and reuse.
- Serve as a domain expert on data models and address questions quickly and accurately
- Collaborate on data strategy to build trust in information and capabilities to use data as a strategic asset across the organization
- Continuously optimize and improve data infrastructure for performance and scalability.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and provide troubleshooting assistance to technical teams.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
- Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and relational database design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data transformation tools like dbt (data build tool)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with Domo
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and processing.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Experience working in a SaaS environment or with property management software.
