We are seeking a Power BI Specialist to help support and maintain our Power BI environment. This role will focus on creating, innovating and optimizing Power BI dashboards, managing permissions, and ensuring data security while delivering business insights. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both Power BI and SQL, with experience in handling cross-platform integrations, dashboard troubleshooting, and creating and maintaining clear and accurate technical and functional documentation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage and refresh Power BI dashboards and data sources on both ad hoc and regular cadences 

• Build, maintain and troubleshoot Power BI dashboards including building ETL pipelines from multiple internal data sources  

• Optimize report performance on existing dashboards and troubleshoot refresh 

• Manage row-level security and workspace permissions in Power 

• Lead source to target dashboard re-writes including ETL development, custom measure creation and management, and documentation  

• Collaborate with teams to align Power BI outputs with business reporting needs and identify key insights 

• Support variance analysis between source systems and Power BI and resolve discrepancies. 

• Collaborate with the Salesforce team to integrate Salesforce data into customized Power BI views for internal teams 

• Proactively manage Power BI performance issues and optimize processes for smoother reporting operations. 

Qualifications: 

• 4+Extensive experience with Power BI, including managing and optimizing dashboards. 

• Strong knowledge of SQL, with experience in query optimization and troubleshooting. 

• Experience with Denodo or other data virtualization tools is a plus. 

• Ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and accurate technical and functional documentation 

• Ability to manage security protocols within Power BI, including row-level security and permissions. 

• Experience with Oracle and Postgres is a plus. 

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including ad-hoc tasks and longer-term initiatives.
