Data Analyst – Operations :

Player Engagement provides technical support, community management, and trust & safety services for a wide range of AAA and Indie studios in the gaming industry.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to analyze data across our client based to identify meaningful trends and insights and derive benchmark data based on specific requirements.


You will bring a strong background in data analysis – research, organizational and analysis – and several years’ experience with multiple data analysis tools. You will support management and customer facing teams with better data-driven understanding and decision-making for customer initiatives.


• Interpret and refine customer requirements/requests for data
• Develop and present actionable insights to internal teams, as well as external customers
• Build analytical dashboards from structured datasets to track customer health and actionable insights
• Collaborate with the professional services team on custom data requests for enterprise customers
• Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
• Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information model specification documents for datasets
• Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
• Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning customer data
• Work directly with managers and internal teams to fulfill data projects that are critical to the business

Requirements

Requirements

• 4.5 + years of experience

• Ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner
• Strong desire to learn the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports,
analyses, dashboards, etc.

• The candidate should be able to extract data from APIs and load them into the DB, then be able to perform the analysis on them.
• Ability to solve problems logically and systematically with attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative working style with the ability to effectively interface with different organizations
and personalities
• Self-motivated with ability to work remotely
• Advanced SQL, and BigQuery knowledge, with a proven track record of applying these skills to
analyze complex customer behaviour datasets.
• Analytical skills to produce data-backed insights that help improve game design, including
experience using statistics, probability, or other quantitative methods.
• Experience working with data visualisation tools, such as Looker, Tableau and PBI.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to create compelling and engaging presentations.

Advantage if you have any of the following :
• Experience in Python
• Experience working in the gaming industry
• Skills specific to Looker & LookML
• Experience working with a modern data stack, including tools like: AWS, Databricks, dbt, Fivetran,
Looker, Looker Studio, MariaDB, Postgres, and Redshift
