Data Analyst (Ecommerce)

Are you ready to rethink your routine? We’re looking for a Data Analyst to support our Ecommerce channels. This role will sit in our Data team and report into our Lead BI Analyst. Working closely with our Director of Performance Marketing and our Head of Digital Product for Ecom, you will bring data analysis closer to our Ecommerce and Marketing channels and drive insight with a deeper understanding of the issues facing Ecom, directly impact revenue and customer behaviour.

The Role 
Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • As a dedicated resource within the Ecom team, actively contribute to decision-making processes and witness the direct impact of insights and recommendations.
  • Take the lead on projects, shaping the technical aspects of our business, including marketing and reporting.
  • Driving business direction and revenue decisions. 
  • Play a pivotal role in influencing large-scale business decisions and strategies. 
  • Use best in class tools like BigQuery, dbt, Snowplow and ThoughtSpot to build data models, extracting insights across the company, such as digital marketing, user experience, and commercial data.
  • Proactively investigate trends and patterns, offering insights and recommendations to influence positive changes in the business.
  • Take ownership of the data narrative, ensuring a cohesive and impactful storytelling approach.
  • Provide data leadership, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem-solving expertise.

Requirements

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Strong SQL skills (Emphasis on Google Big Query).
  • Experience using analytical and data BI tools like Looker and dbt, including dashboard creation for end users.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating confidence and clarity in conveying information.
  • Confident with working with stakeholders, acting as a translator between technical and business teams.
  • Understanding or experience in digital marketing KPIs or E-commerce is desirable, and the willingness to further develop these skills.
