CIG has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst - a key role which will allow you to demonstrate your business and technical knowledge, as well as your communication skills. You'll help elicit, evaluate, articulate and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. For technical projects, you will help define and visualize workflows, model data and define system requirements and acceptance criteria.
An ideal candidate will have experience in at least four of the areas below:
- Evaluating business needs, including eliciting them from various users and stakeholders
- Analyzing and documenting business processes, preferably looking for opportunities for improvement
- Monitoring and communicating project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
- Analyzing data to assess quality and anticipate challenges utilizing data to fulfill business requirements
- Producing status reports, analysis, training materials, technical training and/or other reporting
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent work experience
Additional experience and expertise:
- 3+ years analysis (business, technical or both)
- Experience in communicating business requirements to technical resources
- Experience on Waterfall and Agile projects
- General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies (for technical roles)
Preferred experience and skills:
- Understanding of XML
- Understanding of and experience with SQL
- Hardware and networking as it relates to system design and implementation
- Insurance domain knowledge, preferably in Property and Casualty
- Experience in Guidewire Policy Center
