Cherre is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Product team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for going deep into the weeds of data across our products and clients in order to ensure the highest quality data models, validation checks, and transformations are implemented. You will need to have a firm grasp on data modeling concepts and have the ability to build and maintain ERDs. You will also need a high level of SQL skills in order to troubleshoots data issues and identify opportunities to improve our data models. Collaborating with engineers and product managers is a must as you will operate across teams and projects. If you have experience in working with real estate systems like Yardi, MRI, VTS, RealPage, Argus, etc, you will have a big head start for the knowledge needed to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Analyze raw data coming from vendors and applications to identify primary keys, anomalies, and potential issues
- Create ERDs that engineers will use to build ETL pipelines
- Troubleshoot data issues raised by clients and inform data engineers of findings
- Quantify findings that can be shared with clients regarding data problems
- Scope and create validation rules to be run on top of data pipelines
- Create and maintain data dictionaries across pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics
- 2+ years of relevant experience in data analysis
- Strong SQL experience
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and experience building ERDs
- Local to NYC, as this position is strictly on-site
Nice to have
- Background in commercial real estate systems
- Working knowledge of Google BigQuery
- Experience in building PowerBI visualizations
