Bigblue is hiring a

Data Analyst

Paris, France
Full-Time
As Amazon is pouring billions into its e-commerce infrastructure, independent brands are struggling to offer the same level of trust and experience to their customers. They're now faced with a difficult choice: hop onto the Amazon train or lose customers every day. Bigblue helps independent brands fight back. Together with companies like Stripe and Shopify, we're arming the direct-to-consumer rebellion. Shopify powers their e-shop, Stripe makes payment trivial, and we, Bigblue store and deliver their products around the world.

Founded in 2018, we have raised $18M, and we are now more than 110 employees working from our offices in Paris, Madrid, London.

About the role 🚀

The Data Analyst is part of the Data team (which is part of the Product team), and serves as the data point of contact for the Merchant team.
Bigblue's Merchant team is dedicated to onboarding, supporting, and expanding our customer base. We strive to help our merchants grow sustainably by providing expert guidance on Bigblue's product offerings, services, and e-commerce best practices.
The role is quite wide, both technically and scope-wise - you’ll use data to discuss strategic decisions on multiple aspects of our business while implementing the technical parts that enable you and others to work efficiently.
Your data-driven insights, your business acumen, and tech savviness will be essential in driving strategic initiatives.

Missions ✍️

  • Optimize Team Performance: Identify inefficiencies within the team, design data-driven tools and processes, and implement them to improve overall performance.
  • Data Engineering: Build data models and pipeline empowering the whole Merchant team and management to be autonomous in their daily analysis needs. You’ll transform large datasets into clear and ready-to-use tables and dimensions.
  • Strategic Initiative Support: Conduct ad hoc analyses and generate reports for management to inform strategic decisions. Share analysis results with team members to help prioritize and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Routine Ownership: Own and automate key routines such as billing and CRM updates, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in these processes.
  • Customer Growth Recommendations: Utilize available customer data to identify opportunities for growth and provide strategic recommendations to help customers succeed.

What you’ll experience with us 📘

  • The ability to help shape the data analytics stack to your needs and those of your teammates.
  • A modern and robust tech environment (namingly: dbt, BigQuery, Metabase, Amplitude…).
  • Access to all the data you need, down to the finest details. We ship millions of order per year and track everything happening in the warehouses, allowing you to go as deep as you need (and probably deeper).
  • Amazing and nice colleagues (but everyone says that, right?)

Requirements 🙌

  • Some experience as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer: a minimum of 2 years, preferably in a high-growth tech startup or a data-driven environment.
  • The main goal of this experience is to ensure you are proficient enough in SQL and can challenge your work priorities.
  • If you have less than 2 years of experience but still believe you can make it, do not hesitate to apply.
  • Technical skills that make you autonomous in analyzing data: you are productive with SQL and spreadsheets and have some experience building tools and analyses that were used by other people. Some experience with a programming language (Python, Java, C, …) and/or git would be strongly appreciated.
  • The ability to communicate clearly: in written and verbal form, in French and English.
  • A problem-solving attitude: your consultative problem-solving skills help you find the best solutions, even in ambiguous environments.
  • Rigorous expectations: highly detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Bilingual in FRENCH and ENGLISH

  • Bonus Points For:
  • Passion for Digital: A passion for digital technology and simplifying processes through innovative solutions.
