Your Mission:
As a Data Analyst at Tellent, your mission is to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that empower teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll analyze key business metrics, create meaningful reports and dashboards, and ensure data quality, ultimately helping to drive business growth and efficiency.
About the team:
You will join our DataOps team, reporting to the DataOps Lead, and focus on driving data enablement across Tellent. Working closely with teams like RevOps, GTM, R&D, and G&A, your role is to empower teams with the data and tools they need to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making.
Your 12-month journey:
During the first 3 months: you will learn more about the company, its products, key stakeholders, its data landscape, and business-critical data needs. You will work on some low-hanging fruits (for example, improvements for the customer cube).
Within 6 months: you will take over ownership of the data warehouse development and will be a direct contributor to the data warehouse roadmap together with the DataOps Lead.
After 1 year: you will own the data warehouse roadmap and work on the projects aimed at improving customer experience at Tellent through data usage. You will play one of the key roles in the collaboration between GTM and Tech parts of the organization and will ensure we have right data, infrastructure, and knowledge within Tellent to make decisions based on data.
What you’ll be doing:
Data modeling & enablement
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data solutions (with a primary focus on reporting and analytics needs), including defining project requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, selecting the appropriate tools and technologies, and ensuring the foundational setup for data integration and accessibility. Ensure that the data solutions meet business needs and are scalable for future use.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable requirements for data product development.
Develop and maintain business-ready datasets for analytics and downstream usage purposes via collaborative tools such as dbt Labs.
Implement and configure monitoring systems (e.g., dashboards, usage tracking) to assess the deployed data solutions' adoption, performance, and health. Track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify potential issues, and work proactively to resolve them, ensuring the solutions continue to meet business goals.
Deliver tailored training sessions and documentation to ensure end users fully understand how to leverage the data solutions. Collaborate with the Revenue Operations (RevOps) team to develop enablement programs that empower data users to independently use, manage, and derive insights from the data products.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to colleagues within the Operations team and across other departments on best practices for using data tools and building their own datasets. Foster a culture of data literacy by guiding users in creating efficient, reliable, and actionable data solutions.
Own data warehouse infrastructure in collaboration with the DataOps Lead.
Data governance
As a part of ongoing projects, create comprehensive data governance frameworks that ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across the organization. This includes defining data ownership, access controls, and data stewardship roles.
Maintain the related documentation, materials & data definitions.
