Data & AI In-Market Service Lead

We are looking for an experienced data and AI software professional who is emerging as an engaging thought leader.

The ideal candidate will have a background in custom software development, across the full and evolving spectrum of data domains, including data science, data engineering, machine learning, and generative AI.   They will view their work as a craft, continuously learning, honing their skills and passionately sharing their expertise with others.  They will have presented and written regularly on data topics - providing expert opinions of interest to the market.

The aim of the role is to demonstrate our expertise publicly (via talks and content), and to provide expertise to our consultants and clients.  In doing this, we will enhance our reputation within the North America market, helping to attract new sales opportunities and build relationships.

Experience profile

  • Developed expertise by being a hands-on architect, engineer or scientist, building production level data solutions for enterprise businesses. 
  • Promoted to a lead position as an subject matter expert e.g. practice lead, head of, domain lead, engineering lead.
  • Experience in taking business problems and designing a solution, working with stakeholders and customers to understand their needs, and collaborating with team members to determine and build the best solution
  • Evidence of thought leadership e.g.
    • Presented at conferences and other industry events.
    • Published content containing a point of view in your area of expertise in the form of blog posts, articles or books
  • Nurtured a network of relationships with other industry experts as well as customers you have worked with
  • Varied work history across different industries and consulting and non consulting businesses.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting lead generation efforts e.g. content writing, attending events, speaking at events, and networking within the industry.  Working with our marketing team, industry analysts and thought leaders to increase EE brand recognition.
  • Making compelling, credible sales proposals to prospects.
  • Collaborating on customer engagements:
    • Building credibility with customers and our consultants
    • Identifying and shaping opportunities with customers.
    • Making compelling offers to customers.
    • Initiating new engagements 
    • Architecting solutions
  • Fostering relationships with communities of practice and consultants on engagements across the Equal Experts network, to establish a clear point of view on what works and doesn’t work for customers.
  • Championing our behaviors and holding themselves and others accountable to our technical and consulting values as a role model.

 

Location:

We prefer candidates from either Chicago, New York or Boston areas to enable more frequent travel to meet clients.  Must be able to travel frequently throughout North America to meet clients and team members.
