Why we're hiring:

The role purpose of D365 Platform Operations is to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform within an organization. This role involves managing the infrastructure, monitoring system health, and ensuring high availability and performance of the D365 platform. D365 Platform Operations professionals are responsible for deploying updates, patches, and enhancements, as well as managing integrations with other systems. They monitor system usage, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and implement security measures to safeguard data and protect against potential threats. The ultimate goal of D365 Platform Operations is to provide a reliable and stable platform that supports the organization's business processes and enables smooth user experiences across the Dynamics 365 environment.

 

What you'll be doing:

The key responsibilities for D365 Platform Operations include:

  • Continuously monitoring the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform to ensure its health, availability, and performance.
  • Responding to and resolving incidents related to the D365 platform, ensuring minimal downtime and disruptions.
  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the D365 platform and its data from unauthorized access or breaches.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing performance issues to optimize the speed and responsiveness of the D365 system.
  • Managing the deployment of updates, patches, and new releases to the D365 platform, ensuring smooth and error-free implementations.
  • Overseeing integrations between D365 and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility.
  • Implementing regular data backups and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard against data loss or system failures.
  • Monitoring system usage and performance trends to plan for future capacity needs and infrastructure scaling.
  • Ensuring the D365 platform complies with relevant data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Managing changes to the D365 platform, including evaluating impacts, coordinating testing, and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and audit purposes.
  • Interacting with vendors and support teams to address technical issues and escalate problems as necessary.
  • Providing technical leadership, support and troubleshooting assistance to D365 users and addressing their queries.
  • Generating and presenting performance reports and metrics related to the D365 platform to stakeholders and management.
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and best practices to enhance the efficiency of D365 platform operations.
  • Ability to support US hours and fully support the platform operation

•    In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, its architecture, and configuration to effectively manage and troubleshoot the system.
•    Competence in system administration tasks, including user management, security settings, and system configurations.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to the D365 platform efficiently.
•    Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, such as performance, integration errors, and system failures.
•    Familiarity with IT operations and best practices, including incident, change, and release management.
•    Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations to ensure the D365 platform's compliance with relevant standards.
•    Experience in monitoring system health, generating performance reports, and providing insights to stakeholders.
•    Ability to work with vendors and support teams to escalate and resolve technical issues as needed.
•    Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams, end-users & vendors to convey technical information clearly
•    Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as developers, administrators, and business analysts.
•    Technical leadership, providing guidance and training on all aspects of D365 where required.
•    Thought leadership and commitment to continuous learning to stay up to date with latest developments and best practices in D365.
•    Willingness to adapt to changing technology, updates, and new releases in the D365 platform.
•    Knowledge of data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard against data loss or system failures.
•    Familiarity with ITIL principles and practices related to IT service management.
•    Understanding of change management processes to evaluate and implement changes to the D365 platform.
•    Having these skills allows D365 Platform Operations professionals to effectively manage the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, ensure its optimal performance, and provide reliable technical support to end-users.
