Job purpose 

As a Technical Architect, you are responsible for designing the overall project architecture of D365 F&O application. This involves understanding business requirements, selecting appropriate technologies, creating technical strategy documents, defining system components, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of the system. 

You will be responsible for evaluating different technologies, frameworks, and tools to determine the best fit for a particular project or solution. This involves staying updated on emerging technologies and assessing their potential impact on the organization's technical landscape. 

 

Description 

  • Responsible for delivering a comprehensive architectural blueprint of the project. 
  • Lead client-facing technical workshops, offering design direction across various areas including extensions/modifications, data conversion, environment setup, deployment, testing, and application integration. 
  • Engage in both internal and client workshops to define technical requirements, solutions, effort estimations, and project timelines. 
  • Coordinate RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion/Data Migration, Extensions) customization requests to ensure coherence, and oversee the technical design for all RICEW components. 
  • Spearhead the creation of the data migration strategy and oversee data migration activities within the team. 
  • Assume responsibility for all integration and ISV related tasks, encompassing design, data mapping, and development activities. 
  • Provide guidance and supervision to development teams throughout the implementation phase and mentorship to junior team members. 
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold best practices and coding standards. 
  • Serve as the go-to individual with a profound understanding of the D365 F&O technology stack, as well as associated technologies such as Azure, Azure SQL, Power BI, Common Data Service, Power Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Machine Learning, etc. 

Requirements

  • With 3-5 years' experience as a Technical Architect, specifically with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) FO implementations, including extensive knowledge of D365 FO architecture, components, and modules. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong consulting skills with experience in leading client-facing workshops, gathering requirements, providing technical guidance and managing a team of technical resources. 
  • Has a solid development and data migration background. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology or related field
