Role introduction
The D365 Data Technical Consultant will support HSO Data Architects by providing technical expertise and client support during data loading processes. This role involves engaging with both the project delivery team and the client to ensure smooth and efficient data migration activities within Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HSO data architect to develop and refine data mapping templates.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for project management and operational updates.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) methodologies to manage data transfer and transformation processes effectively.
- Provide expert advice and solutions to clients on managing and troubleshooting errors in Data Management Framework (DMF) D365FO.
- Offer alternative strategies for data loading to optimize performance in DMF D365FO.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding data migration promptly, ensuring clarity and resolution of issues.
- Engage actively in weekly data migration calls and internal project meetings to ensure alignment and timely execution of project deliverables.
- Interact with internal teams to support data-related aspects of project delivery, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- 5 + years of experience in data migration or management, preferably within a consultancy or client support environment.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations is preferred.
- Proficient in using Azure DevOps for project and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and methodologies.
- Experienced with data loading techniques specific to DMF D365FO.
- Ability to provide guidance and support on error handling within DMF D365FO.
- Capable of devising strategies to mitigate data loading errors and optimize data migration performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to offer practical solutions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, with the aptitude to handle client queries efficiently and professionally.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with both project delivery teams and clients.
- Certification in Azure or Dynamics 365 related disciplines is an advantage.
