Cyber Security Architect

 

We are looking for reinforcement for our team of functional safety and cyber security experts. As a Cyber Security Architect, you will get to know our products from all sides and coordinate the necessary measures to ensure the security of the products and the privacy of the stored data over the entire product life cycle. They are part of an interdisciplinary and globally positioned project team and mainly support Asian OEMs. Furthermore, you will also coordinate higher-level activities to improve our processes, methods and tools and you will be actively involved in the further development of our team.

Your tasks:

  • As a security customer interface, they are responsible for clarifying all questions and open topics relating to security and privacy in the development project
  • You will independently carry out the analysis of security customer requirements in the global automotive industry and evaluate the feasibility, effort and, if necessary, effects on the control unit
  • You will be responsible for conducting Threat and Risk Assessments (TARA)
  • Based on the TARA, you define the security goals and define the required security measures, taking into account the given framework conditions (e.g. Restrictions due to HW)
  • You will create the security and privacy concept and coordinate it with the other disciplines
  • Requirements Engineering
  • Definition of the security architecture and review of the system architecture
  • Coordination of customer requirements as well as the security and privacy concept across disciplines (SE, SW, HW, test, production)
  • Coordination of the required security-relevant steps during the production of the ECUs (e.g. Writing of key material)
  • Creation and maintenance of the SP plan and the SP case
  • Management and status tracking of all security activities in the project
  • Preparation of customer assessments and Continental's internal security assessments

 

Your profile

  • Completed studies in the field of computer science, electronics, cyber security or comparable course of study
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the development of embedded systems and in the automotive industry
  • Professional experience in the cyber security sector
  • In-depth knowledge of common security measures
  • Expertise in cryptography
  • Knowledge in TARA methodology and process
  • Experience with the implementation of international standards (e.g. ISO21434, UNECE R155) desirable
  • Knowledge of Rhapsody, IMS, Doors
  • Basic knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, skills and tools

Profile:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or relevant/equivalent experience working in Information Security)
• Personality: Responsible, goal-oriented and very collaborative
• Working Practice: Self-reliant, problem-solving, analytical thinking, as well as independent and diligent
• Experience: Several years of professional experience in a cyber security environment
• Knowledge: Very strong programming skills (e.g., Python) and comprehensive understanding of the threat landscape
• Languages: Very good English skills
