Model N is looking for college students (who have completed their junior year) ready to jump start their career exposure with an internship. We offer unparalleled hands-on experience working in an exciting yet challenging industry. You will have the opportunity to get to know the other Model N interns and participate in workshops and trainings designed just for you and your peers.  In addition, each week there will be time for additional learning through LinkedIn Learning on topics to help you develop your skills and business acumen.  
 
As an intern with the Customer Support team, you will experience a supportive learning environment, opportunities to participate in meaningful work and have some fun! You will meet and work with kind and inspiring Model N’ers, become a member of the team and have access to Model N leaders. 
 
You will create a customer portal that serves as a hub for interactions between ModelN and all their customers. The portal will improve the overall customer experience, streamline the processes, and provide valuable information.  The portal will be a replacement of the current Jira-based customer interface, increasing the ease of information exchange with support customers. 
This new modern style customer portal with provide a user-friendly design where the customers can easily find all the information related to:  
·       Products  
·       Documents and Knowledgebase Articles 
·       Release plans. 
·       Support tickets. 
·       Etc. (to be determined based in feedback from pilot customers). 
 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and user needs. 
  • Design and develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces for web-based customer support applications. 
  • Implement front-end components and features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies. 
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iteratively improve the UI design. 
  • Work closely with backend developers to integrate UI components with backend services and APIs. 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Solid understanding of front-end web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles. 
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Having prior exposure to developing standalone applications for academic assignments or organizational purposes would be a plus. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Compensation

  • This internship will be paid hourly ($20-$22/hour).
