We are seeking a dedicated and friendly individual to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Chelmsford. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to internal clients and supporting Account Managers. Your primary responsibilities will include answering phone calls, managing an email inbox, and promptly addressing all incoming inquiries in a professional manner.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Phone Support:

  • Answer incoming phone calls from internal clients promptly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate information and assistance to internal clients, resolving their queries or directing them to the appropriate departments if necessary.

2. Email Management:

  • Co-manage an email inbox dedicated to client enquiries.
  • Monitor the inbox regularly to ensure timely responses to all incoming emails.
  • Respond to emails promptly and provide thorough and accurate information, maintaining a high standard of written communication.

3. Support to Account Managers:

  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers to assist them in their daily tasks and seamless client communication.
  • Act as a liaison between Account Managers and internal clients, ensuring efficient and effective coordination.

4. Issue Resolution:

  • Act as a problem solver, addressing and resolving internal client issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members or managers as necessary.
  • Follow up on any unresolved issues to ensure their resolution and client satisfaction.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in an internal support capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanour.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and email management tools.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with colleagues.

Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon-Fri) - office based
