Essential Functions
- Support customers and outside sales team
- Prioritize and manage your workload in a fast-paced environment
- Field 50-100+ emails and phone calls daily
- Effectively communicate via email/phone
- Process requests for price, delivery, returns, order status, order expedites, product literature, and technical assistance.
- Conferring and corresponding with sales reps and customers
- Supplying detailed product quotations which include calculating price and shipping
- Informing customer of pricing, back orders, delivery, delayed shipments and/or any other problems related to the order process
- Attending sales meetings or educational activities to stay up to date on the latest technical developments with our products
- Participating in Inside Sales quote follow up activities and outbound calling
Experience, Education and Skills
- 2+ years of experience and/or a Technical degree preferred
- Previous experience working as a customer service or inside sales representative, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment; outside sales or purchasing experience within industrial distribution will also be considered.
- Proficient with software programs relating to the customer service position including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail and vendor pricing programs
- Working experience with Trend is a plus
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and mechanical aptitude
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
