Customer Service & Logistics Specialist
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking a Customer Service & Logistics Specialist to join our Genu-in team! The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and pro-active in their approach to problem resolution.
This role will be based in our office in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for servicing existing customer accounts.
- Act as a link between customers, sales, quality control, logistics and finance.
- Coordinate all order entry; submit orders for processing in SAP.
- Handle invoice and credit adjustments; investigate billing questions.
- Align internal logistics including imports and local deliveries scheduling with customer needs documentation.
- Maintain accurate records, especially for traceability purposes including a weekly order/shipping schedule per customer.
- Maintain good customer relations.
- Communicate order acknowledgement along with shipping updates in a timely manner.
- Investigate and report on customer issues and complaints.
- Exhibit the highest possible level of customer service to all customers.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior import/export experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Portuguese required.
- Strong, effective communication both orally and written.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office and CRM.
- Experience with technical products in industrial distribution.
- Experience working with Customs brokers and importing FDA-regulated products.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to prioritize.
- An energetic personality with a strong sense of urgency.
- Decisive with the ability to be a “fixer” and not a “finger-pointer”.
- Team player with an all-consuming need to win as a team.
