About the Role (your why)  

Customer Research Consultant is responsible for assisting with the Go-To-Market Strategy and Planning to drive lead generation and customer acquisition via a highly effective research and insight-driven team leveraging internal, competitive and market intelligence to inform decision making developing a clear and complete Australian market growth strategy. 

 

Our offices are based in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best! 

 

What you’ll do   

The Customer Research Consultant is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Review and anticipate future trends, technologies, and market shifts that could impact the business
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, market research, and identifying patterns and insights from complex information
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the technology industry, including emerging technologies, consumer behaviours, and competitive landscapes within the IT industry
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas and insights to various stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Exhibit a forward-thinking mindset and the ability to develop innovative solutions and strategies
  • Possess strong leadership skills to guide and motivate, along with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
  • Understand business operations, market dynamics, and how insights can drive strategic decision-making and growth
  • Actively support programs in the execution of their responsibilities
  • Coordinate the delivery of reporting and ensure insight documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored
  • Establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans, managing time effectively. Assist with other administrative data and research activities to ensure the delivery of programs
  • Support the operations of the team to achieve objectives effectively

What you’ll bring  

  • In-depth knowledge and experience with financial principles and practices, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis. Ability to interpret financial statements and leverage financial data to drive strategic decisions
  • Proficiency in developing financial forecasts and strategic plans based on market trends, historical data, and business objectives. Skill in creating actionable plans to achieve long-term goals
  • Extensive experience in consulting roles, with a proven track record of providing strategic advice and solutions to businesses.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with business goals
  • Proficiency in negotiating terms, agreements, and solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ability to tactfully communicate difficult and/or sensitive Information
  • Experience in driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives, market analysis, and identifying new business opportunities
  • Demonstrated success in implementing strategic plans and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Ability to influence and develop productive relationships with stakeholders and key users.
