Overview
Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on SESI Schools Learning structures, buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs repairs of all trailers, decks, vans, buildings and equipment owned and operated by the company. For example, replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blinds. (Major repairs are outsourced.)
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on structures and equipment on a scheduled basis.
- Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- May install computer cable, repair electrical equipment and order parts as necessary.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
- Performs outdoor custodial duties as required.
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.
- Delivers operational supplies when appropriate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of experience in equipment maintenance and
repair; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Lifting over 30 pounds, walking, climbing stairs and ladders. Most programs are on school property.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday - 10:30am - 6pm
