POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for completing day-to-day tasks and projects specific to Navia Benefit Solution’s COBRA processes. The position will support the Custodial COBRA Accounting Lead but report to Director of Accounting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and complete COBRA project-based work and communicate results to management. Includes managing projects to ensure accounting hits assigned deadlines.
- Complete unclaimed property analysis and reporting for COBRA
- Complete complex monthly and ad-hoc reconciliations by account and by client (~$1-5M balances with 1K+ transactions)
- Complete and enhance COBRA accounts receivable aging process. Includes reviewing and contacting clients with unpaid funding and administrative fees
- Review and recommend enhancements to current COBRA accounting processes and controls to ensure they are best in industry, either independently or in tandem with other Navia department staff
- Research and match current and historical failed transactions (~$5-20K/week)
- Point of contact for client questions and issues (includes responding to clients directly)
- Support Custodial COBRA Accounting Lead with day-to-day tasks as needed
- Other day-to-day duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience and knowledge of QuickBooks (extensive knowledge is +) and Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communications skills

- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot
