Our Construction-Tech client has the vision to transform their software platform and create a Construction Equipment OS, or a single source of truth, where Providers and Fleet Owners can add their equipment, technology, providers, and users in one connected control panel. They are building more than a software platform.
They’re building an operating system that brings people, processes, and technology together for co-equipment management. They need to hire a CTO to own their existing technology platform and transform it into a cohesive technology platform to help realize their vision.
Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership: Provide strategic vision and leadership for all technology-related aspects of the company. Collaborate with the management team to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a talented team of engineers and developers. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Develop Product: In addition to leading and managing, also be able to develop products alongside the internal and external development teams.
- Product Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Work closely with the product team to bring innovative features to market.
- Architecture and Scalability: Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure systems that can support the company’s growth. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Technical Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap. Assess and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the company#39;s competitive position.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business requirements. Foster effective communication between technology and other departments.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential technology-related risks. Implement robust security measures to safeguard company and customer data.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Proven Leadership: 7 + years of demonstrated success in leading and scaling technology teams, ideally in a startup environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with experience in software development, architecture, and deployment. Proficient in relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Must have the ability to architect, develop in, and manage people in the following tech stack:
- Existing Apps - AWS, Aurora MySQL / PlanetScale, PHP, jQuery, React.js, React Native
- Future Potential Migration (Still in Discussion) - Vue.js, Node.js, MongoDB
- Nice to Have - Versori or like technology for native integrations and custom workflows
