CT BRA POG - FEA Specialist

The FEA Specialist carries out the current calculation activity (linked to Dev & RFQ work), as well as the monitoring and implementation of action plans specific to innovation in the field of numerical simulation.
To perform this function, the computer engineer must:
Be an expert in the field of numerical simulation which includes:
metal static non linear, metal fatigue, metal optimization, bolts
rubber static/dynamic, rubber fatigue and
-Implementation of calculation models (CAD work – Meshing – Job editing) Support the product development engineer in the documentation of all project activities:
- Interpretation of results. Returns of results to development teams in the appropriate language, and formalisation of optimization recommendations.
- Delivery of the calculation reports
- Support the CAD team in using FEA
- Support FEA leader during launch phase of new tools or process.Improve existing modeling methods and standards (e.g. processes,guidelines,tools) valid for all segments in therms of increasing effectivity and efficiency.
- Continues improvement of skills in new technology area.
- Ensure technological benchmarking (software, methodology, scientific...) and evaluate the FEA tools in order to:
- Respond to new internal service needs (design of calculation tools)
- Meet new business needs (product simulation and process)
- Develop numerical prediction methodologies for phenomena associated with CTVC products
 - Participate in the elaboration of the FEA research plan
 - Optimize existing analytical and numerical models 
- Strengthen the predictive aspect of these approaches by defining appropriate testing campaigns
- Develop new models in accordance with the lead-time defined - Train colleagues of FEM/Testing team
- Closer communication with CAD team/PDs during the RFQ and project phase to improve design.
- Advanced written and spoken English to communicate with colleagues from all differents regions within the group - Be abble to conduct correlation projects in order to improve precision between real life and simulation
- New boundary conditions implementation - vast knowledge of materials used in our products, such as die cast Aluminun, cast iron, rubber, polymers

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in FEA or a related field
  • Experience with multi cultural/country teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Experience in structural analysis and simulation
