Summary/Objective 

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced project manager to apply their skills within the dynamic field of information security.  

While prior InfoSec experience is beneficial, it is not essential.  

The candidate's proven track record in project management and their ability to adapt and apply their expertise to new challenges will be the cornerstone of their success in this role. 

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. 
  • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates, maintaining transparency with internal leadership, and adapting plans as necessary to address changing needs. 
  • Utilize extensive experience to proactively anticipate, identify, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on deliverables.  
  • Facilitate cross-team and external client collaboration, ensuring alignment of project objectives with organizational goals and fostering a cohesive team environment.  
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations, define project scope, and secure commitment and resources for successful project execution.  
  • Develop and define clear, measurable outcomes, KPIs, and KRIs to quantify project performance and risk, ensuring transparent and actionable reporting to director-level stakeholders and facilitating informed strategic decision-making.  
  • Encourage a proactive approach to problem-solving, empowering team members to address day-to-day operational issues and scope changes effectively.  
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and reporting of project progress, adhering to organizational policies and procedures, and facilitating informed data driven decision-making.  
  • Mentor and develop team members on project management principles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.  
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by critically evaluating existing project management processes and introducing scalable solutions to enhance efficiency.  
  • Champion the development and refinement of project management tools and techniques, sharing knowledge and expertise across the organization.  
  • Knowledgeable in Lean principles or proficient in a project management methodology, such as Agile, to enhance processes, reduce waste, and increase client value through improved information flow and resource efficiency. 
  • Must possess the aptitude to rapidly learn and become proficient in the use of information security-specific jargon and acronyms, effectively assimilating, and applying the specialized terminology used daily in InfoSec 
  • Build upon and enhance the existing project management culture across the organization, serving as a champion for structured methodologies and best practices.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work   

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience  

  • Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs. 
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and appropriate sense of discretion.  
  • Reliable, dependable, and self-directed, with significant experience learning brand-new concepts and processes. 
  • Comfortable in a dynamic work environment.   
  • Advanced knowledge of various computer productivity tools such as MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Outlook, Excel.  
  • Excellent organization skills with attention to detail.  Ability to synthesize and manage large amounts of data. 
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs and willingness to work extended hours when needed.  
  • 4-10 years of Technical Project Management experience.  

  

Preferred Qualifications and Experience  

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an advantage. 
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Information Systems, IT Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent subject matter.
