CRM Specialist

About the role:

We are hiring a CRM Specialist to be an integral part of Unilever Canada’s Digital Hub! You will be embedded as a critical team member into the day-to-day operations of Unilever Canada’s Digital Marketing organization supporting some of Canada’s most loved brands. 

Unilever Canada’s Digital Hub is based at the heart of Unilever's marketing organization and delivers actionable insight, tools and services to engage, and is leading transformative data driven engagement strategies. This enables Unilever's business to better reach, acquire and engage people with exactly the right content, at the right time and place to build the valuable relationships their brands and consumers seek at scale. 

You will have a passion for data, audience segmentation and understand the importance of the delivery of mass personalized communications, using multiple messages to increase relevance and impact amongst various audience segments. Activities will be key drivers of data acquisition and eCommerce growth, while also re-invigorating brands’ equity. Over time, this will lead to an increased emphasis on performance marketing and may - in some cases - lead to one-to-one marketing. 

What you will be doing:

Campaign Management (50%)

  • Develop and execute against plans to acquire net-new consumers with a test, learn, optimize mindset through media, partnerships, and other relevant channels
  • Support evergreen campaigns by identifying new opportunities to improve KPIs
  • Maintain & upkeep internal data governance and acquisition playbook supporting all PRM activities led by Digital and Brand teams
  • Assist team in data growth, enrichment, & refinement initiatives across digital touchpoints and throughout consumer lifecycle

Partner & Relationship Management (25%)

  • Partner with creative and media in-house agencies, along with data acquisition partners, on executing key campaigns from ideation and production to creative iterations and optimizations during campaign flight
  • Liaise with IT team on vendor onboarding and managing security assessments with all current and new vendor partnerships
  • Work with the PRM (CRM) Manager and Global privacy team to ensure delivery and embed the highest standard of privacy and compliance with the NA Digital standards and CASL requirements
  • Align with PRM Manager and Specialist to ensure optimal consumer lifecycle communications and engagement strategies are in place maximizing PRM KPIs

Data Analysis & Insights (25%)

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Data Analyst to ensure the value CRM delivers is practically captured and presented back to the business
  • Provide WoW/MoM reporting, analysis, and insights on campaigns to key stakeholders measuring against KPIs and quarterly/annual targets
  • Analyze and evaluate new data processing activities from a privacy and data optimization perspective

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • 3+ years in digital marketing or similar experience
  • Campaign Management - ability to plan and deliver digital marketing campaigns by leveraging data to inform and grow database leads
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - proven ability to manage and succeed in complex stakeholder environments
  • Data Analysis & Presentation skills – ability to understand key levers of data growth and engagement while being able to analyze how to improve KPIs and present actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Communication skills - an ability to translate complex technical and analytical outcomes to all levels of the organization through strong presentation skills as well possess strong inter-personal skills managing multiple stakeholder relationships
  • Prioritization skills - must be able to work well under pressure with a large number of projects/assignments at the same time
  • Project Management skills  ability to assess priorities and manage workloads working in an agile environment
  • Working knowledge of data protection and privacy and new laws and regulations
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and/or solid relevant experience, preferably in Business, Marketing, Digital/CRM with strong analytical, communication, and digital UX skills
