Purpose
Analysis of the behavior of the portfolio to define credit approval strategies for the different credit products, such that business growth expectations are achieved, taking care of the quality of the level of losses, profitability, and optimal operating cost.
Collaborate with multifunctional teams in the definition and implementation of analytical projects, infrastructure, and various control measures aligned with the established risk appetite, as well as in the design of strategic campaigns based on the analysis of credit risk profiles, optimizing the effectiveness of strategies based on customer segmentation and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of credit behavior at the portfolio level
- Analysis of credit behavior at origination harvest level
- Preparation and definition of reports, metrics and presentations at an executive and strategic level
- Key point of contact with engineering, product, sales, finance, or collections to ensure appropriate development and implementation of credit risk policies and tools, as well as a clear understanding of business needs
- Construction and definition of strategies for sustainable business growth through the development of monitoring systems and the definition of credit evaluation schemes, through an analytical, numerical, and business sense perspective
- Generate proposals to incorporate additional information, new tools and/or preventive policies to mitigate credit losses through quantitative and qualitative evaluations
- Identification, definition, and development of proofs of concept from external data sources to evaluate the added value for credit loss mitigation
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory guidelines and market developments to ensure compliance and promote continuous improvement in risk management processes
- Mentor and support junior analysts, providing guidance and experience in credit risk analysis methodologies and techniques
- Design, implement, and monitor strategic campaigns based on the analysis of customer credit profiles
Position Requirements
- Graduate from one of the following majors: Engineering, Mathematics, Actuary, Economics or similar
- At least 4 years of proven experience in managing and exploiting databases via Python, R, SQL
- At least 4 years of proven experience using analytical and statistical techniques
- At least 4 years of experience analyzing and understanding credit risk metrics and operation of consumer credit products
- English language (intermediate-advanced level)Critical and analytical thinking

- Decision making in uncertainty through creative proposals based on similar data
- Proactive, purposeful, and focused on continuous improvement

- Administration logic, development, and implementation of Data Sources, as well as related credit policies
- Advanced experience interpreting analytical tools associated with credit risk analysis including selection of cut-off points, and development of credit risk models (reserves and/or origination)
- Knowledge of functions of various cross-functional areas and their strategic relevance in credit risk management including product management and design, data science, finance, sales, marketing, and engineering
- Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
