Requirements

Reporting to the Credit Control Team Lead, the Credit Controller is responsible for the collection of revenue and credit owed to the business, ensuring it is paid in a timely manner to reduce the risk of bad debt and improving cash flow though the business.

The Credit Controller takes ownership of their customer portfolio and builds strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive cash collections through chasing overdue invoices and payment via telephone and email to meet current key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage internal and external debt payment questions and enquiries.
  • Take ownership of customer queries, track and manage process through to resolution.
  • Ensure payments are on track to be paid within the agreed terms.
  • Maintain detailed records of cash collection activities and conversations including updating status code and revising the forecast date of invoices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly customer account statements.
  • Identify accounts for escalation and report risk to collections target.
  • Process customer credit card payments.
  • Ensure invoices are uploaded to customer portals.
  • Setting up new customer accounts. Coding of remittance advices.
