Credit and Collections Supervisor

We are looking for a Credit & Collections Supervisor to join our growing business in Chicago. This Credit and Collections Supervisor will oversee a team of 4. This individual will lead a team through the collections process while demonstrating ability in problem solving, communications, and customer interface. This is an excellent opportunity to use your experience in a fast-paced, growing, and dynamic healthcare services company. We are looking for someone with commercial acumen who is an enthusiastic, organized, hard-working, a great problem solver, that is able to work with various stakeholders across the group.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the collections strategy, focusing on root cause analysis
  • Expanding our pre-emptive approach to collection and ensuring that all customers are contacted before due date to confirm receipt of invoice, answer and respond to invoice queries and monitor timing on payments
  • Manage the team to ensure every past due customer is contacted regarding invoices by email, phone, etc.
  • Resolving disputed invoicing issues
  • Working with the Billing and Sales departments when necessary to resolve problems
  • Maintaining detailed notes on all receivables or billing concerns with customers
  • Providing customer requested information when required
  • Answering internal and external inquiries; solving more complex problems through research as necessary

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in corporate collections
  • Experience with administrative/clerical support
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Salesforce experience
  • Highly organized, strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract terminology
  • 2+ years leadership experience
