CookUnity is a chef-to-you marketplace connecting talented chefs with consumers, revolutionizing meal delivery. We bring small-batch, restaurant-quality meals to eaters nationwide, crafted by a diverse collective of all-star chefs. With over 100 inspired chefs from cities like NYC, LA, Austin, and more, our weekly subscription offers a wide range of hand-crafted meals to cater to various palates and dietary preferences.

By delivering over 1 million meals per month, we're also empowering working chefs, tripling their income, and supporting their growth. CookUnity believes in fueling stronger communities, partnering with Food Bank For New York City to combat food insecurity across all five boroughs.

What we're looking for

Chef-creators are at the core of what we do at CookUnity. We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Manager to build and nurture a thriving creator community within Cookunity. This role will focus on developing a program that supports our chefs, enhances their visibility, and drives engagement across our platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community building, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the culinary world.

Our Chef-creator collective consists of over 130 teams cooking in kitchens located across 7 markets in the United States. You'll join the Chef Success team to partner with our creators, and customers in a cross-functional role to broaden the community's purpose, connection, mission, and membership experience.

We’re looking for someone very passionate about building healthy, inspiring, and inclusive platform communities in both the physical and digital spaces. Ideally, you have managed a creator or freelancer community before and know how to communicate and connect with these audiences, particularly regarding food and cooking! The ideal candidate is outgoing and empathetic by nature and has a strong drive to foster connections in a diverse community.

Responsibilities

  • Program Development: Design and implement a creator community program that aligns with Cookunity's mission and goals, offering tangible benefits to participating chefs.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a sense of belonging and collaboration among chefs by organizing events, workshops, and online forums to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with chefs to produce engaging content, such as blog posts, videos, and social media campaigns, showcasing their talents and unique culinary offerings.
  • Partnership Building: Establish partnerships with industry leaders, influencers, and culinary organizations to enhance the program's reach and impact.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Gather feedback from the community to continuously improve the program and adapt to the evolving needs of our chefs and consumers.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze community engagement metrics to measure the program's success and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure Benefits to the Creator Community:
    • Increased Visibility: Chefs will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and reach a broader audience through collaborative marketing efforts.
    • Professional Development: Access to workshops, training sessions, and networking events to enhance culinary skills and business acumen.
    • Collaborative Opportunities: Connect with fellow chefs and industry experts to exchange ideas, share resources, and explore collaboration possibilities.
    • Platform Growth: Be a part of a growing platform that prioritizes chef success and offers tools and resources to help chefs thrive.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in community management, program development, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for the culinary industry and a deep understanding of chefs' needs and challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation

All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Pay Range for this position
$70,000$85,000 USD
