Are you ready to rethink your routine? We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Store Designer to join our dynamic team. Reporting into our Head of Store Design & Visual Merchandising, you will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and executing aesthetically pleasing and functional retail spaces that enhance the overall customer experience. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and operations, to create visually stunning and on-brand retail environments that showcase our beauty products.

The Role 

Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • Design Trinny London's store layouts, product displays, window displays, and promotional installations to attract and engage customers.
  • Create innovative and eye-catching visual concepts for all customer retail experiences including stores, exhibitions, pop ups, and other brand touchpoints.
  • Prepare floor plans, storefront elevations and renderings to support new distribution across different markets. Management of the various processes involved including creating the best layout, maximising brand expression and producing full technical drawing packs. 
  • Understand and interpret Landlord design guidelines, integrating comprehensive design solutions compliant with local and regional regulations. Take ownership for managing design packs for both internal and external approval including Landlord and Shopping Centre sign off processes. 
  • Manage external suppliers to execute design development and construction documents. Review and approve construction documents by suppliers / licensees for adherence to design standards. 
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure smooth execution of design plans and fixture installations.
  • Work closely with our creative, retail, product and marketing teams to implement effective visual merchandising strategies that not only align with our sales and marketing objectives but also highlight key product features and benefits.
  • Work closely with our Project Managers and suppliers to oversee the entire store design process from concept and construction to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate to analyse sales data and optimise store designs to improve performance
  • Ensure brand consistency across all Trinny London locations, conducting store visits when required
  • Stay informed about relevant industry trends, consumer behaviours, regulations, and sustainability practices to ensure that store designs meet compliance standards and environmental considerations but also drive innovation and differentiation.

Requirements

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in retail/store design with luxury brands. 
  • Relevant degree in Interior design or architecture 
  • Impressive portfolio and track record of interior design projects. 
  • Proficiency in Autocad / Adobe CS / 3D modelling and rendering is essential. 
  • Broad knowledge of materials/finishes and experience in technical detailing. 
  • Excellent creative and artistic skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behaviour, design principles, and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Flexibility to travel and visit different store locations, showrooms, and events as needed.
  • Awareness of shop fit costs and inventive approach to achieving cost effective solutions
  • Driven, passionate, highly organised, articulate, resourceful and flexible
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
