The Creative team provides customers with original, relevant, and contemporary visuals. Through an industry-unique combination of consumer research, proprietary data, and three decades of trend reporting experience, the team delivers actionable insights that guide customers to the visual content that connects with consumers. Closely collaborating with our contributor base of photographers, videographers, and illustrators around the world, the team develops market leading, authentic, and differentiated content.
Who You Are:
- As the Creative Lead for the creative content creation team in EMEA, you will be responsible for developing, driving and delivering on a strategic creative vision.
- You have a strong collaborative creative vision and can convert data backed insights into compelling visual narratives.
- You are passionate about visual communication and are comfortable sharing what you know with the creative team, customers, and content creators alike.
- You will have a good understanding of the visual landscape and knowledge of visual trends in commissioned brand photography, with knowledge of stock photography beneficial.
- You devise original shoot ideas based on analysis of data and be highly effective at communicating these ideas to your team ensuring the content we are crafting is both commercially relevant as well as award winning.
- You have a proven instinct for identifying and recruiting up-and-coming creators (stills and video) to create commercial content.
- You are highly organised and meticulous, able to handle many moving parts of multiple work streams operating simultaneously while still meeting deadlines.
- A creative problem-solver with the ability to quickly identify problems and work independently and positively to find appropriate solutions that have impact.
- You have a pulse on what’s new and next in art and culture and are not afraid to share your insights and perspective with a multi-disciplinary creative team.
Your Next Challenge:
- Act as ambassador and pro-actively build advocacy for Getty Images and iStock amongst creators and the wider commercial photography community to help recruit, engage, and motivate our creators in EMEA.
- Mentor, strengthen, and develop creative teams remotely across EMEA through effective performance management.
- Take a leading role in inspiring creative teams and finding new methods of brainstorming new shoot ideas with support from the insights team.
- You will work on a range of initiatives and projects which help promote and showcase our work, strengthening Getty Images and iStock’s creative offering.
- Offer support and growth of our EMEA creators by providing your team advice on the creators’ portfolio they work with, give reviews, and guidance.
- Strong collaborator to build and strengthen relationships internally with Creative Insights, Promotion, Sales, Product, PR and Marketing
- The role is as much about people as it is about creativity; you will build relationships across the business, our network of creators, and our customers.
- Collaborate with the insights team and the curation and promotion team to create visual narratives for key research and thought leadership projects in region.
- Significantly grow the quality and quantity of creative content for EMEA on all sites.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Creative for content metrics and performance against creative strategy.
What You'l' Need:
- 10+ years’ experience within visual communications or advertising industries.
- 6+ years’ experience in a people management role.
- Proven track record in mentoring and development of creators and / or creative managers.
- Prepare & present your ideas through excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Shown ability to effectively communicate strategy and the performance of your team.
- Experienced in art directing, managing, and producing shoots on a global scale.
- Experience in video production.
- Must be self-motivated and can work with minimum supervision to accomplish goals and handle tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Work well under pressure, independently and can multi-task on a variety of projects is vital.
- Full working proficiency in English writing and reading.
- Great storyteller, presenter and communicator.
- Additional language skills in German, Arabic, Spanish and/or French a plus.
