About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Creative Director to lead our creative team. In this role, you will act as our brand guardian, maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints while driving strategic creative opportunities that have measurable value for TravelPerk.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will oversee an agile team, manage resources, and contribute to the company's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring that the design goals are understood company-wide. Your leadership will be key in aligning creative efforts with broader business goals, optimizing budgets, and delivering high-impact design outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be inspired by what is possible today with the use of technology and Gen AI and will have a good knowledge of the emerging capabilities in utilising technology to scale production and amplify creativity.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creative Leadership: Oversee the brand’s visual identity, ensuring creativity and consistency across all channels. Lead your team in delivering standout design outcomes that align with TravelPerk’s strategic objectives.  Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability, ensuring seamless cross-functional communication and knowledge sharing.

Creative Impact: Drive creative initiatives that add measurable value to the company. Collaborate with senior leadership to align design goals with business objectives. Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of design initiatives and guide future strategies.

Team Management: Manage a small, agile team of designers, setting clear goals and expectations that align with company-wide OKRs. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between the design team and other departments such as marketing, product, and technology. Ensure that design initiatives are aligned with broader company goals and that stakeholders are engaged throughout the creative process. Have confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the budgeting and resourcing of the design team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Optimize the allocation of resources to maximize efficiency and impact.

OKR and Goal Setting: Contribute to the development of company-wide OKRs, ensuring that design-related goals are clearly communicated and understood across the organization.

Tools and Technology: Support the creation, testing, and implementation of self-serve templates and tools, enabling others to design at speed without compromising our brand or consuming excessive design resources. Explore, test and recommend new technology to enable Travelperk to consistently raise the bar and scale the output of the creative team.

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

  • 10+ years experience in creative design and branding, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • A mix of in-house and agency creative experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with a track record of driving high-impact creative initiatives.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Previous experience in budget management and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with creative industry trends and emerging technologiesExperience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch) is a plus.
