About the Opportunity

We are looking to build our roster of qualified talent for future Creative Director, Entertainment opportunities. These may be temporary opportunities.

The Creative Director, Entertainment on the Cashmere.Monks team leads and manages the entertainment creative team and is responsible for enhancing internal management of creative assets, elevating team performance, providing creative guidance, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in multicultural campaigns with a focus on culture, demonstrating the ability to think quickly, inspire others, and collaborate effectively with capability leads.  They see the big picture and make long-term plans, but they also roll up their sleeves and get involved in the details when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand clients' business challenges and objectives to develop strategic creative solutions.
  • Act as the main agency point-of-contact for clients on all creative assets, fostering sustained client relationships.
  • Guide and contribute to the strategic development of integrated experiential and social, entertainment marketing campaigns.
  • Produce and guide high-quality work that solves clients' business challenges in unique and innovative ways.
  • Promote the capabilities of the Cashmere Creative Team through stellar pitches at client meetings.
  • Confidently pitch and sell ideas in client and internal meetings.
  • Collaborate with the CCO, ECD, CMO, and senior leaders to evolve the entertainment creative team and agency offering.
  • Contribute to the hiring process to recruit boundary-pushing talent that complements and elevates the full creative team.
  • Lead, inspire, and direct a creative team composed of editors, art directors, graphic designers, motion designers, and copywriters. Additionally, as a hands-on leader, you will step in to directly create and refine assets when necessary, embodying our philosophy of leadership through active participation and demonstrating a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to ensure the highest quality and cohesion of creative outputs.
  • Provide guiding principles for the team on each assigned project.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize cohesive content offerings across multiple platforms.
  • Drive innovative brainstorming sessions and content workshops, providing real-time constructive feedback.
  • Efficiently manage projects and deadlines for all creative team members.
  • Develop ideas from start to finish, including briefing, concepting, presenting, and production feasibility.
  • Oversee, review, and approve final deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards of excellence and creativity.
  • Manage the creation and delivery of presentation decks for internal stakeholders, ensuring concepts are brought to life. 
  • Solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience, working closely with account and production teams.
  • Mentor and supervise direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and refinement.
  • Hold one-on-one meetings with direct reports to maintain constant communication feedback cycles.
  • Perform timely performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technologies, including AI, to facilitate and streamline the creative workflow.
  • Coordinate with talent and resources to complete creative materials for each project, adding value.
  • Stay up to date on current events, culturally relevant movements, DE&I best practices, and a range of subject matter.
  • Participate in project and pitch post-mortems to reflect on key learnings and elevate the work.

About You

The essentials:

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in corporate creative or media agency experience preferred
  • Must have cultural insight and experience working on campaigns that target various demographics and multigenerational targets such as Millenial and Gen Z. 
  • Proven track record pitching studios, streamers, networks, brands, and agencies, winning bids
  • Expert presentation skills
  • Able to win the confidence of clients and staff 
  • Extensive experience working in fast-paced agency environments managing multiple clients at once
  • Agile, able to navigate issues, problem solve, and flexible with changing priorities 
  • Keen attention to detail and discerning eye - able to flesh out the good from the great
  • Able to effectively manage time, resources, and budgets along with competing and conflicting interests
  • Solid leadership and people management skills - able to provide constructive feedback and input while inspiring others
  • Able to plan, develop, and scale creative systems and processes for growth
  • Passion for pop culture and diversity marketing within various corporate and entertainment industries
  • Contagious energy, enthusiasm, and initiative

Not a must, but a plus:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields and/or a combination of related education and experience
