What You'll Do
- Creative Leadership and Collaboration:
- Assist with creative direction, strategy and campaign development that meets business objectives.
- Translate marketing objectives into clear, motivating creative strategies.
- Lead and drive concept and design initiatives for assigned business units across web, digital, and print, ensuring innovative, visually compelling solutions that align with brand and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing leaders on large-scale initiatives, contributing to and refining creative solutions.
- Partner efficiently with project managers, marketing managers, designers, and copywriters to ensure cohesive project execution, alignment on objectives, and the highest quality standards across all deliverables.
- Serve as an authority on our visual design language, setting and upholding design standards while inspiring the team to execute cohesively across all channels.
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, while maintaining strategic thinking.
Creative Execution and Technical Expertise:
- Take a hands-on role in conceptualizing, designing, and executing a diverse range of advertising and marketing materials for brand building and performance marketing, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Demonstrate expert design skills and proficiency with design programs at each stage of the process, maintaining high-quality standards and consistency.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to production, ensuring a deep understanding of the creative workflow and effective use of tools like Asana for project management.
- Stay current on best practices, emerging technologies, and design trends to continuously bring fresh ideas and techniques into the creative process.
- Prioritize work and resources, and establish production schedules
Team Management and Development:
- Take on a role of a working manager, supporting the creative team while completing significant individual responsibilities.
- Build meaningful relationships within the team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Mentor and coach junior creatives, providing guidance and career-broadening opportunities to support their growth.
- Review, provide feedback, and approve work to ensure alignment with brand standards, creative vision, and project goals.
- Encourage a culture of creative problem-solving, empowering team members to take initiative and innovate within their roles.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in an agency or in-house setting.
- 3+ years of leadership experience: prior Creative Director experience preferred.
- Strong eye for typography and other fundamentals of advertising, branding, and graphic design, with the ability to apply them effectively in concept and layout.
- Solid understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertising, and multimedia design.
- Exceptional conceptual and design problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the latest versions of relevant design programs, including Mac OS, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Figma, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with a positive attitude.
- Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines with moderate supervision.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
