Marcus & Millichap is seeking a CRE Economic Research Associate to join its industry-leading Research Services team in Phoenix. The position reports to the Senior Vice President, National Director of Research and Advisory Services and is responsible for creating presentation decks directly for the National Director of Research, as well the CEO and sales agents company-wide for client presentations and industry conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute presentations, reports, and projects for use by executives and senior personnel in a wide range of conferences, speaking engagements, and media appearances.
  • Interpret data from a variety of sources to convey information clearly and accurately to assess the economic environment and evaluate commercial real estate trends.
  • Develop analysis and presentations to enhance client understanding of market trends and investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with executives and senior personnel to craft presentation narratives; manage multiple presentations simultaneously while accurately conveying Marcus & Millichap’s outlook on the Commercial Real Estate market.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to translate data and information into clear, professional presentations and analyses that offer insightful interpretation.
  • Strong understanding of economic concepts and the ability to apply economic thinking to real world scenarios relevant for investors and clients; able to think analytically.
  • Strong organization skills, solutions-oriented perspective, highly motivated, extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Professional experience, familiarity with or interest in the commercial real estate industry is beneficial.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CRE Industry applications such as CoStar, RealPage, RCA (MSCI), Moody’s are considered a plus; familiarity with Federal Reserve Economic Data ‘FRED’ and other government data sources beneficial.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance or Business preferred.
