Crane Operator - Field Technician Entry Level

Weatherford is hiring an Entry-Level Crane Operator for our Bryan Texas facility. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you will be operating a crane and performing support of equipment for the oil and gas industry. Entry level crane operator, working under direct supervision operates lifting equipment requiring specialized trade certification. Under general supervision, operate traveling or stationary crane to lift, move and position loads. Assist in the assembly, installation and repair of beam pumping units as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order) 

• Operates crane as required 
• Under supervision, assists in the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of Beam Pumping Units as assigned 
• Learns to identify the components of Beam Pumping Units 
• Participates in JSA processes 
• Participates in safely executing relevant SOPs 
• Works towards achieving Level 1 competency

• 1+ years related field experience preferred
• Able to demonstrate field/shop competency 
• Mechanical ability necessary to perform tasks 
• Valid driver's license (where applicable) 
• Good oral and written communication skills 
• Self-motivated, self starter 
• Must be able to follow instructions
• Able to work closely with fellow employees
• Relevant oilfield product knowledge preferred
• Must be able to work heights
• Must be able to carry 50+ pounds
• Must have the ability work overtime
