Eurofins is currently looking to hire a Courier/Field Technician in Hanover, MD: 

Courier/Field Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Transporting samples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans and protocols
  • Maintaining quality control of all assignments and completing documents as appropriate 
  • Following and enforcing company health and safety policies.
  • Following technical instructions and guidance.
  • Operating a company vehicle. 
  • The Courier/Field Technician will drive within a 100 mile radius of Hanover, MD, and include travel to Baltimore and other areas of Maryland, Virginia, and the D.C. metro area, as well as other locations as needed. 
  • Role will be an estimated 60% courier/driving/sampling responsibilities, and 40% order filling.
  • Assists with routine and non-routine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs, which may involve hazardous material/waste project sites. 
  • Basic laboratory duties as assigned 

The position is part-time: estimated 30 hours/week between the hours of M-F, 9am-5:30pm.

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid state issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle 
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The ideal candidate would possess:

  • Associate Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
  • Previous experience in field sampling 
  • Previous Microbiology experience
  • Ability to follow GPS directions 
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Pay range: $18-20/hour 

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
