Coupang Finance Development Program

Coupang Finance Development Program is designed to recruit smart and talented MBA graduates from top universities and develop them to be finance experts at Coupang. Trainees will experience 9 months of rotation work in core teams within Coupang Finance and will ultimately be assigned to the most suitable team after 18 months.  

(1) Corporate Development
Search, evaluate, and secure external opportunities such as talent, technology, business, and products i) to identify new customer pain points and develop solutions for them, andii) to accelerate the resolution of existing problems the team Coupang is working on

(2) Logistics Finance
In charge of planning, monitoring and advising business from finance perspectives, including annual/long-term planning to weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews, bringing total transparency to key business leaders

(3) Rocket Growth Finance
FP&A function that supports Rocket Growth business which helps sellers grow through Coupang's best delivery experience and customer service

(4) Treasury
: Manages the inflow and outflow of funds. Pursues financial stability by maintaining the company's appropriate liquidity through efficient operations, and improves and upgrades related programs, including SAP, for accurate and efficient fund management

(5) Corporate FP&A
: Directs the company-wide forecast and budget process, analyses variance to these plans and forecasts and provides insights to the leadership team. Supports the Investor Relations team to inform and communicate with investors and investment analysts

 

Qualifications

  • MBA graduates
  • a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, operations, business development/management, strategy development etc. 
  • Solid team player; work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
  • Strong consultative / analytical / problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal / communication skills
  • Self motivated, reliable, passionate, and can keep to deadlines

  • The employment type of this position is regular including 12 weeks probationary period.

Document Return Policy

  • This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.   
  • A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.  However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company.  In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant. 
  • A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit the request to the Company (Coupang Recruiting Team, Tower 730, 570 Songpa-daero, Songpa-gu, Seoul). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail.  Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail. 
  • In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process.  If no request is made until the end of this period, all of his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
  • Hiring may be restricted in case the legal qualifications required for hiring and work performance are not met.
