We are looking for a second Country Operations Manager to manage current operations and ensure excellence across operational deliverables.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Support the development and implementation of operational strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to long-term steady state project operations teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient collaboration.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to optimize operational performance and achieve cost capture and cost-effectiveness long-term steady state projects.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance operational processes to increase productivity and efficiency. Implement best practices and technological advancements where necessary. Collect, process and implement feedback from clients and staff.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards in product or service delivery to meet customer expectations. Manage discipline across operational teams.
- Risk Management: Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity. Support the development of and maintain Risk Registers and Risk Assessments.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Project Management: Oversee project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track and report on operational performance to senior management.
- Compliance: Ensure that operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between the Ukraine and London departments, fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring that tasks are communicated and delivered to the highest standards.
- Crisis Management: Develop and implement contingency plans to address unexpected issues or emergencies. Conduct regular reviews of Crisis Management plans, in collaboration with clients and the operational team.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage the operational budget for specified projects in Ukraine long-term steady state projects, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings, identify and address overspend.
- Talent Management: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled operations team, and establish clear career paths for team members. Ensure that operational teams receive the highest standards of career management long-term steady state projects.
- Deputise for other country operations manager as required.

Desirable:
- Professional fluency in the Ukrainian and/or Russian language(s);
- Prior experience of working in Eastern Europe and/or knowledge of the region;
- Experience of working in a small organisation.
