What You’ll Be Doing:
- Licensing Owner: Develop and execute Navro’s strategy for Hong Kong. Own the AML programme from start to finish, onboarding, monitoring, reporting and sanctions.
- Apply for our MSO Registration: Navro wants to enter HK, but we don't want you to inherit our legacy policies and risk assessments with no control. You get to take our existing deck, policies and procedures - and localise it ready for our MSO application.
- Be our senior person in the country: Navro is entering HK, and you will be the first on the ground. Able to guide and build our business, we want you to be more than “Just” the MLRO - We need you to be a business owner.
- Be our owner in APAC: As Navro Grows, HK will be our starting hub in APAC, and we need you to be there on the ground as we land and expand.
- Present us to our banking counterparties: Key to building our business in HK is our relationships with our banking counterparties, you will need to demonstrate the strength of our compliance programme to regulators and banking counterparties in order to give them confidence in our programme.
- Team Builder: Recruit, lead, and inspire a high-performing team. Shape the culture from the ground up in APAC.
- Operational Excellence: Build efficient, scalable processes that support growth without the bureaucracy.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer operations to align strategies, drive innovation, and deliver solutions for enterprise customers. Leverage clear communication and teamwork to streamline workflows, resolve challenges, and ensure successful execution of new customer go-lives or existing customer up-sell opportunities.
- Feedback and Strategy Adjustment: Provide actionable insights and feedback to the leadership team about pipeline status, performance metrics, and strategic adjustments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strategic relationships with regulators, partners, and key decision-makers.
- Brand Leadership: Position Navro as a leading Fintech brand in Hong Kong. Be the face of the company in the market.
What We’re Looking For:
- Financial Crime Leadership: Previous experience (5 Years +) in an AML and MLRO position in the cross border payments space with proven experience and the ability to run entire end to end operations.
- Qualified: A qualification such as ACAMS or ICA, or a relevant degree in financial crime (Law, accounting) or similar.
- Industry Acumen: Knowledge of the risk and controls needed to build an AML programme for a growing FX and payments business. This includes knowledge of how international sanctions and payments impact our business.
- More than just AML: As the first person in the country, we'd like you to know a little more than just AML. If you can talk to us about Data Privacy, client fund protection or another area of regulatory compliance that would be great.
- Hands-On Approach: You can shift seamlessly from high-level strategy to on-the-ground execution—whether getting clients onboard or developing a new boarding process - We want someone who is hands on and strategic.
