Counseling Program Supervisor

Cortica is looking for a Counseling Program Supervisor to join our growing multi-disciplinary team! 

In this role, you’ll provide counseling services to children, parents, siblings, and other caregivers, work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, and provide supervision and clinical support to a team of counselors.

What will you do? 

Leadership: 

  • Approximately 20-40%, depending on total number of direct reports, of total time dedicated to leadership responsibilities. 
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new Counselors in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Team and the Senior Manager of Counseling Excellence. 
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to Cortica counselors across the company to achieve optimal patient care and grow team members’ clinical skills. 
  • Assist your direct reports with difficult clinical decision making by exercising critical thinking skills and proposing solutions in alignment with Cortica’s multidisciplinary approach. 
  • Have a broad knowledge of all service lines within Cortica and work collaboratively with team members to achieve the best clinical outcomes for patients. 
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Counseling Excellence to manage performance issues related to clinical care provision within the Counseling Team and adherence to Cortica policies. 
  • Participate with clinical programming projects including planning and execution while holding a seat on Cortica’s Clinical Excellence Council (CEC) Counseling Committee, under the direction of the Counseling Committee Chair. 
  • Assist with other leadership tasks as delegated by the Senior Manager of Counseling Excellence. 

Direct Client Care: 

  • Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, siblings and/or other stakeholders) through telehealth. 
  • Utilize empirically supported therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of each client. This may include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others. 
  • Attend to relational ethics while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families we serve, actively engaging other team members to ensure wrap-around support for the family and sharing of information and ideas. 
  • Travel, as needed, to support your direct reports. 
  • Participating in family care meetings with other providers, as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

We’d love to hear from you if:  

  • You hold a master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field. 
  • You possess a current and unrestricted license as a Mental Health Provider (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist) in the state where you will be working. 
  • You have demonstrated knowledge in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy. 
  • You bring 3+ years of experience working with children or families with developmental differences in a counseling environment. 
  • You bring 1+ years of experience providing leadership or supervision to others. 
  • You can obtain Mental Health Provider licensure in all state(s) where you are eligible and Cortica has a presence within 60 days following your hire date.

The base pay range for this opening is $92,622 to $115,777. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
