THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a talented lawyer to join our Product & Corporate Legal team in Seoul, Korea. Asia Pacific (APAC) is one of our fastest growing regions, and in this role for Korea, you will be instrumental in helping our team deliver fast and practical solutions for a wide range of legal issues, from inquiries from regulatory agencies and other types of consumer-related matters to management of legal documents received to ensure that they reach the appropriate teams.  As part of the legal team, you will assist privacy, commercial, government relations, and other areas of Netflix legal, as needed.

The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, demonstrate great initiative, an effective cross-cultural communicator, and will welcome the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. REQUIREMENTS

  • We’re seeking a qualified lawyer with 3~5 years of relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house. While not required, experience in the internet, technology or media sectors, familiarity with regulatory compliance, relevant legal issues and agreements, would be preferred;
  • Solution-driven mindset and the ability to think practically, work independently with little guidance, but also to use good judgment to escalate issues when needed;
  • Proficiency in both English and Korean, including excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical capabilities and sound judgment; 
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • Ability to understand and work with commercial and legal ambiguity and nuance to find creative and practical solutions;
  • Ability to learn quickly and tackle new subjects outside area of expertise; and
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, collaboratively and reliably under pressure.
