Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
Assist Manager to develop efficient internal tax procedures and proactive tax mitigation or opportunity by monitoring new tax policies and its impact to the company. Perform ad-hoc tax projects and deliver tax issues and findings and provide solutions to the Manger by working with tax consultants. Engage to support accuracy and timely filing of all compliance reporting.
Specific Job Duties:
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures
- Engage to review accuracy of tax preparation and compliance monthly, quarterly, and annually and oversee timely filings.
- Ensure to oversee various State and local audits and Economic Development Compliance audits
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and communicate to the Manager for risk reduction and planning
- Perform ad-hoc tax projects and deliver tax issues and findings and provide solutions to the Manager by working with tax consultants.
- Have strong organizational and interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills
- Contribute to a team-oriented but adopt fast pace and work hard working culture
- Perform creation of materials for various management reviews and meetings
Shift:1st shift: M-F, 8am-5pm
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Legal ; Advanced degree helpful.
- Prefers CPA.
- 8 + years of technical tax experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Working closely with external advisors and collaborating with them to reduce tax risks, opportunities, and challenges.
- Excellent communication skills.
