Team’s Mission / Work Responsibilities
The Mercoin Corporate Planning Team’s mission:
- To achieve Mercoin’s mission of “Circulate your value, anywhere and everywhere,” the Corporate Planning Team works to involve various stakeholders and actively take on a wide range of tasks to act as guides for leadership to develop, expand, and grow the Mercoin business. This includes planning and driving projects across teams, from formulating roadmaps, devising growth strategies, and drafting budgets to managing business execution.
- To further accelerate the growth of the Mercoin business, we must identify the intrinsic issues that stand in our way, consider what is needed to solve those issues, and create mechanisms from the ground up. Our role goes beyond just planning; we work closely together with the business every step of the way.
Specific work responsibilities include the following:
- Setting budgets, managing budgets, drafting medium-term management plans
- Supporting management's decision-making process and conducting corporate planning based on KPIs and financial figures
- Driving the resolution of issues for the business; proposing and promoting cross-functional projects
- Creating rules and infrastructure for administrative accounting

- As this is a team made up of a select few, you will be expected to take on a broad range of responsibilities toward the expansion of the business.
- We would like to invite an individual to our team who can engage in close discussions with management and team members and boldly drive strategies toward achieving Mercoin's mission of "circulate your value, anywhere and everywhere" in both the short and long term.
- You will be expected to demonstrate your skills in bringing to light the various challenges the business faces, selecting which to tackle, and creating and rapidly driving measures to solve them.
- To achieve sustainable business growth, our team examines the unit economics of initiatives and proposes the optimal allocation of investments in order to create growth that will reliably accumulate going forward.
- We provide an environment where those who like to actively push their boundaries without fear of failure can boldly challenge themselves.
Required Qualifications
- Shared belief in the mission and values of Mercari Group and its various companies
- Three or more years of practical experience in administrative accounting or financial accounting as part of a business company’s corporate planning and financial accounting team (or experience consulting in these fields)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience making proposals based on quantitative data to upper management and business management teams
- Experience formulating and leading projects across divisions spanning the entire company
- High flexibility and adaptability in the face of change and uncertainty
- MBA or certified public accountant qualifications, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of and experience in web or C2C services
- Knowledge of and experience in Web3

- 「多様な価値がめぐる新しい経済をつくる」というメルコインのミッションのもと、メルコイン事業の発展、拡大実現に向け、ロードマップ策定、成長戦略立案、予算立案から事業執行管理に至るまで、攻守の部門横断プロジェクトを企画・推進し、多様な関係者を巻き込みながら経営の先導役として事業成長に向け主体的かつ幅広く取り組んでいます。
- メルコイン事業をさらに加速度的に成長させるには、本質的な課題はなにか、課題解決に向けどのような仕掛けが必要か、ゼロから考え仕組みを構築していくことが常に求められます。計画立案に留まらずこれらを事業と一体となって取り組みます。
- 現在、新規事業への取り組みも進めており、新規事業の立案、推進についても主体的に取り組んでいただきます。
