AQEMIA is a next-gen pharmatech company generating one of the world's fastest-growing drug discovery pipeline.
Our mission is to design fast innovative drug candidates for dozens of critical diseases, such as immuno-oncology.
Our unique approach leverages quantum-inspired physics algorithms to power generative AI in designing novel drug candidates—without relying on experimental data.

We already delivered several drug discovery successes within our internal pipeline and through collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Our most advanced programs are currently in vivo optimization.

About the team you’ll join

We are seeking a corporate FP&A to lead and optimize the financial performance of Aqemia. In this key role, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, driving strategic insights and supporting decision-making across the company.

You will work directly with Théa, our Head of Finance, who brings deep expertise in financial modeling and corporate finance (ex-Morgan Stanley).

As the first hire on Aqemia’s growing finance team, you will have significant opportunities to expand your skillset and shape the future of our financial operations. This is just the beginning of a long and exciting journey!

Your contributions will be instrumental in delivering insightful management reports to our leadership team, empowering them to make informed and strategic decisions.

Your role as a Corporate FP&A at Aqemia

  • Fully responsible for developing financial projections to support strategic decision-making and deliver accurate performance indicators with the ultimate goal of enhancing Aqemia's business plan
  • Monitor and identify operational costs for Aqemia’s drug discovery programs to help us opting for the best portfolio strategy
  • Identify and analyze key business drivers and KPIs through competition monitoring to optimize company’s performance
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly reports to leadership team
  • Prepare external financial communication to investors and Board
  • Collaborate with other departments (drug discovery program leaders, managers of the wet lab outsourcing, HRs, tech) to gather financial data and insights: become a real business partner

The competencies we are looking for

  • Fluent in English
  • Master’s Degree in Finance/Management field
  • Proven experience in Banking, Audit or Transaction Services (5 years minimum)
  • Very strong skills in accounting and finance (including solid financial modelling skills)
  • Business-oriented profile and attention to detail required
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and complex information, and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly organized, flexible and easily adaptive to changing conditions
  • Previous experience in a deep-tech and/or fast-paced start-up is a plus
